Leadership Team

Fred Gardner, President

Fred started working evenings after school for Founder and Father, Fritz, digging plumbing trenches and drilling holes on jobs. He started his plumbing apprenticeship in 1978, received his Journeyman’s License in 1983, and his master plumbing license in 1987. He has obtained extensive experience in field operations, bidding, purchasing, project coordination, supervision and plumbing design. Fred has been on the board of directors for the Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors Association of Wisconsin (PHCC-WI) since 1992 and was president in 1999. He has served on the Plumbing Apprenticeship Board from 1995-2007 and is currently on the Heating Examiners Board in Eau Claire as well as the prestigious Wisconsin Plumbing Code Advisory Committee.

Tim Klingfus, Project Manager/HVAC Estimator

Tim has over 35 years of design, project management, service and sales experience in the HVAC and refrigeration fields. In addition to a wealth of knowledge and expertise, Tim believes in a “value added” approach to customer service and continually strives to exceed the customers’ expectations.

Jeffrey Tanner, Project Manager/Customer Development

Jeff offers over 30 years of experience and knowledge in the mechanical construction industry. Starting with an Associate Degree in HVAC design, a 4-year Sheet Metal Apprenticeship and another 20 years of “working the tools” in the residential, commercial and industrial mechanical markets, he’s capped it off with a B.S. in Construction Management. Jeff has been involved with large projects such as the TCF Stadium, addition of an SCR on the coal-fired generator at Xcel King Plant and various projects at MinnTac and HibTac (taconite plants) in northern Minnesota. Recently, Jeff has been involved with projects at the Nestlé plants in Eau Claire, United-Children’s Hospital in St. Paul and Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN. Jeff was tapped to help with design, relations with owners, coordination with other trades and labor tracking on these projects. Jeff also brings an intangible quality of foreseeing problems and creating solutions at the job site or in the drawing room. Jeff is a positive asset to our team and will be of great service to future clients.

Bryant Gardner, Project Manager/Plumbing Estimator

Bryant began his career with the family business in 2003. He started his apprenticeship in 2005, obtained his WI Journeyman’s Plumbers License in 2010, and his MN Journeyman’s License in 2014. He has extensive experience with field operations in hospitals, food processing, and the flow of construction projects. Bryant joined the estimating and project management team in 2015 and plays an important role in day–to–day operations.
